Some people —especially embittered, angry people who blame others— reinvent the past in their minds all the time, to make themselves seem more victim-y, or for some other reason. Sure, we all do this in one way or another, human memory is not very reliable, but these people spout fallacies in their logic more than they get their logic or facts right.
