Makes me think why other artists get bajillions of views in a day.

Ive always had this thought that maybe todays taste doesnt give mainstream love for vocals. Hence the rise of mumbling artists like Billie and the “stylistic to compensate for low range and genetic lung capacity” Olivia Rodrigo. Ariana even has toned down her melismas vs early eras. But Adele is doing well.

Then maybe its because Adele has shared her marriage struggles and all the “personal life” stuff that is mirrored in the song. Same with Taylor. Same with Bieber who used to do childish things but posts Bible verses on weekends (as if it absolves peeing in a bucket) with his pastor friend. And X doesnt dabble with the drama of parading her personal life… for better or for worse.

But I guess in the long run, not being flavor of the month in all media outlets makes you less sickening.

This kinda backfired with Demi. I love her until she picked a fight with frozen yogurt and made shows about aliens that made her unappealing to me.
