They must be preparing for the new single/second EP, there's no other logical explanation. And it still doesn't even feel logical. Santo was doing good, why kill it like that?
PMM spent 10 weeks in the playlist. That was Santo's what? 5th? 6th?

I believe "Santo" was included on Viva Latino for six weeks.

Obviously, without that playlist the streams will go down a lot.. but lbr even the inclusion of the song in a huge playlist like that one didn't really do anything noteworthy at the end of the day. "Santo" is catchy and features Ozuna, a current hitmaker, but it still failed to be a hit. For some reasons, Xtina's music just isn't connecting with the general public.

She doesn't seem concerned with having hits tho, so we shouldn't expect anything more or different with the other two EPs.

She has to perform the song multiple times for it to have a chance tho. I still remember Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire” started off as a huge flop, but then she remixed it with Nicki and stayed performing it on every tv show for like 6-8 months whether people wanted to hear it or not and then it became a hit. Christina is not an artist that can just release a song and it organically becomes a hit. Think about Christina’s last hits like FTM and SS, the common theme was that she was performing the songs multiple times on tv.

Christina is not from the streaming generation, so she still has to do some things the old school way. She would have to do the full song a couple of times on tv. I understand she has a budget, but she could do a couple of La Reina performances with just her, a mic and a guitarist. Hell, she could just sing over an instrumental. Maybe she blew her budget on those high profile features. She has songs that could be hits, but for whatever reason she is not trying to make them hits. We’ll never know what’s going on, but I am grateful we got 3 videos and may end up with at least 5 videos when all is said and done with these EPs.

Maybe the hype is over. It’s hard to differentiate between real hits and those that are just hyped today. Nicki Minaj is also freefalling per usual. There’s no reason her song couldn’t stabilize without radio play in the Top 10 if she charted so high. She basically fell off in all metrics after the first week. I believe Nicki has a streaming camp similar to BTS. How would a song go from being highly streamed in one week to making no dents on Spotify or Apple Music the next week? Plenty of songs have stabilized in the Top 10 with streaming only except for Nicki.

I wonder what the logic is for Spotify playlists. This is an example of a song that Spotify positioned at or near the top of the biggest Spotify playlists totaling over 60 million followers yet is free falling after the first week. Clearly the GP didn’t want to hear this song.

The stats aren’t looking too shabby globally. This could be a moderate hit and even bigger if she filmed some performances and just had them aired by the big tv shows.

Okay we need to address the elephant in the room. Her numbers have been continuously increasing, even after the Christmas season. This isn't just luck or a crazy coincidence.

She is becoming more popular and relevant. It is time certain people who love to downplay her to stop with their nonsense.

The GP is here for her. More people are checking her out.

She is in some key playlists now, but she could be in way more.
