If only the streaming could pick up. The album and CMDLG were clearly well received by the iTunes buyers after the Latin Grammy awards and is still doing well.

This is a stupid take. Obviously everyone's overjoyed with the Grammy recognition but it is also obvious that the label had big expectations for the project, with all the heavy hitting A-list collaborations. It underperformed, commercially, and fans are allowed to feel what they feel.

How did it underperform when she barely promoted it? Had she been busting her ass promo-wise and she pulled the same numbers then it would have underperformed. She’s 24 years into her career and been inactive from the Latin market besides a side project here and there. She can get A list collaborations because she’s a legend. She also relied on streams only which clearly she was not doing well with prior to this album.

Etienne is really the unsung hero. I can bet him and Gilbert were some of the people really encouraging her to make another Spanish album.

I know iTunes means nothing these days, but she’s holding up well amongst the new releases and Bad Bunny with CMDLG and AGUILERA. Christina has the ability to win people over live, so she should do more televised performances.

It seems like the Latin Grammy awards have a bigger appreciation for artists who go against the grain. The Anglo Grammy Awards tend to prefer music that is not against the grain that grandparents don’t mind listening to.

The way she remains the big overall winner with the performance, show fashions, a win, being a legend, etc. Everyone is generally recognizing her efforts with this album and it’s more amazing when she gets recognized for the body of work imo.

The media coverage is insane. She’s the face of many articles.

I’m loving all this positive coverage.

I didn’t know how I felt about the red carpet look until I saw her in motion. Pictures really don’t do her beauty justice at times. When I saw her in motion I fell in love with the gown. Purple is the color of royalty and she is pop royalty.

This will be a great moment to add to the new doc btw.

Also, while her #1 hater can’t get her life together. Christina is still a respected artist still getting nominated and winning at prestigious events. Her #1 hater’s hyped hit went nowhere and no one cared to nominate it for prestigious awards like the Grammy awards. Let us remember that.

Right? It really has been a long time since she got a televised non legacy award. They did her dirty too with Say Something’s Grammy not being televised, especially since that category usually tends to be televised

I doubt she would’ve showed up regardless for Say Something. I think she wanted it to be AGBW’s moment. Summer Rain was also only 5 or so months old.

You all do realize even at Christina’s commercial peak she wasn’t racking in multiple Grammy awards in one night. She has always been underrated. Popstars didn’t have it easy during her commercial peak. It wasn’t until the 2010’s that they stopped being so uptight about popstars especially female popstars. Whitney, Celine, etc. weren’t winning a crazy number of Grammy awards either. They all had real competition and being a huge popstar didn’t guarantee them wins.

I hope Christina can now start promoting this album more. I’m not sure what she’s waiting for because the Latin community is ready to embrace her. She has an award for the album, so now is the time. It may even help secure the Anglo Grammy award for the album too.

Rosalia’s album is amazing and she promoted. Well deserved.

I just wanted one award, so I’m happy. She definitely could’ve won more had she promoted with 2-3 more televised performances.

The fact that she did this while flying under the radar and doing zero promo outside of videos is amazing. She looked great, sounded great and had a great night!
