Still #2 in iTunes Philippines. I hate the #1 song, it’s also a new release from a popular local celebrity, who is not even a singer. Ugh.

Romanians have always supported Latin artists.

Fun fact: Their language is actually a Balkan Romance language so I guess it’s easy for them to understand music in Spanish.

I'm not sure if they are but they definitely love the latin culture. I have a Romanian friend who learned Spanish watching Mexican telenovelas. :rip:

Not extremely similar, they're probably on opposite ends of the Romance languages spectrum. Spanish being more Arabic-influenced and Romanian being more Slavic-incluenced. But as far as I know, Romanians have it easier understanding Spanish than the other way around.

I think this is more about the cultural links, though. Romanians seem to love Latin American music and TV shows, and Reggaeton is actually quite popular there. So it's no surprise this would be a hit.

Well done, Romanian fans! I hope tomorrow we'll wake up to a bunch more #1 spots.

Well, it is technically a BALKAN Romance language (Moldova being the other Balkan country) but it def falls under the Romance languages. That’s why Romanians have always supported Latin artists cuz for whatever reason they’re able to understand Spanish very well. The same with Portuguese people, they’re able to understand Spanish easily as oppose to Spanish speaking people understanding Portuguese.
