Also, if anyone wants to make 50x50 icons of X to use with the different ranks, please let me know/send my way, particularly if themed overall (music videos, live performance, funny ones). If we get a couple submissions I can cycle through them. I reused my previous icons for these ranks and I’d rather something brand new if possible. Browsing through the email archives earlier today came across a lot of emails between him and I from back in the 2010s, and I had honestly forgotten how much responsibility I had at aLD, but Lacey had basically disappeared and it was me heading things and emailing Richard regularly. A lot of work, and all unpaid

It all hit me though, considering how long it’s been and how much has happened in the process. This was the email I found out aRED would be closing for real and that if some version of the site was going to continue, it would be up to me.

Mind you, this was after investing so much time and money out of my own pocket to make it happen, a person who had never coded anything beyond making things italic in livejournal…. His reply still kills me dead to this day but really, history.

I think it was around 2009, right before Bionic/Burlesque, when I found this community. Not sure if it was LD, AfterLd, Xred, or what but I've been around since then, mostly reading, with a different username of course, I think xben or something (not that I was known).

I do enjoy the red color scheme, I’m not going to even lie about it lol to me, it’s the best representation of Aguilera. RED to me, match-wise. It really mostly just gets used when these things pop up lol
