I actually think merging topics, especially in the Masochist sub-forum, is not done enough. I’m tired of certain members spamming new threads for the same set of artists that no one but them cares about or some dumb shit because they’re high.

Maybe a suitable alternative could be banning members that spam new threads about their favorite artists or limiting how many threads users can post in a 24-hour period?

Do you prefer all information about an artist in the Masochist Lounge to be located within one official thread, or would you prefer a more Reddit-like stream, with new posts each time?

Whichever your choice, there will be some changes coming to clarify the rules in place and to be more transparent in our decision making.

Let’s say there’s no Britney news for a few weeks and her thread is pushed back a few pages. Suddenly, there’s news and I have to find her thread but it’s nowhere to be seen on the first two or three pages and since “Britney” is a common term, the search won’t help me find the official thread either.

Maybe we can add a #keyword or something to official thread? Exclusive for those titles only.

That's already been solved in our end, as part of these discussions, so it's coming. We have a 3 page thread going in the Mod Lounge so far, and new rules and clarifications have actually already been created. I'm just waiting on other people to comment and offer more input before they're finalized.
