The Grammy performance did nothing for Muchachas. But who knows at this point what song will end up connecting with the streaming audience and why.

OK, let's organize a streaming party for Santo and that should increase the numbers by 32 more streams or so
That’s not true. That performance was praise with positive reactions which made ppl check the song out . It’s silly to say it did nothing.Bad_vocal_technique wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 1:58 pmThe Grammy performance did nothing for Muchachas. I will never understand why Xtina's team did not upload the performance on her Vevo channel. it was so good, they missed another opportunity to get some extra views.

A song with freaking Ozuna doing these numbers is not "natural", at all... unless we are THAT delusional.
And if the song is a radio hit, like y'all keep saying, why is it tanking? People are exposed to the song but don't like it enough to stream? We should be able to discuss the numbers in a chart thread, without the usual holier-than-thou stans that suggest to move on. Should the thread be closed in order to "move on" since y'all can't handle more than the "It's doing great, everything is fine, it will peak in 2050" kind of talk?

I agree, even though the song wasn't really added on the major playlists .
At this point, Christina should do her own thing singing music that is not commercial but comes from the heart (which is not what Santo is about) and I;m sure we'll get this type of music with EP2.

Yeah I'm not sure why the radio play doesnt correlate with streams at all, this absolutely blew PMM out of the water on radio and it has done better than anything shes released on radio since Say Something. That is just a fact. The streaming is atrocious though no way to get around that.AS wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 10:00 am A song with freaking Ozuna doing these numbers is not "natural", at all... unless we are THAT delusional.

At least Santo is a radio hit. The last time we had one was 2013!
The problem of course is that streaming has gained significance in the last decade. People who drive this change are young (mostly in their teens and 20s) and they have no interest in a veteran artist in her 40s. Being a female artist is another disadvantage for xtina. Recent releases with young popular artists have not brought big streaming numbers. Certain big playlists have ignored her songs so I don't expect a streaming hit to happen.
Tiktok could have helped a lot for some reason her team hasn't bothered and neither did she.

This. I hope physical copies come with EP2 or EP3 because she is clearly an artist for millennials and Gen X.Angelopoulopoulous wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 3:39 pm At least Santo is a radio hit. The last time we had one was 2013!

It’s sad but true… This effort definitely needs attention, Ya Llegue, Como Yo, Santo sounds very current and hot. I don’t get why ppl are not getting interest in listening to.

oh yes, it's sad that they get so little attention (less than 10k streams per day) Ya Llegue is a BOP that should have been added to pop playlists.
Totally!! I listen to them every single day nonstop!! And yet ppl are ignoring all these Masterpieces at least PMM get a little.Hocus Pocus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 6:16 pmoh yes, it's sad that they get so little attention (less than 10k streams per day) Ya Llegue is a BOP that should have been added to pop playlists.
The idea of Christina getting a massive GP Resurgance again is getting smaller and smaller though I will be pleasantly surprised if she does have one either as a lead or feature.
Selfishly, its kind of unfortunate because I never got to stan her during her prime but I’m so grateful for the music either way. I hope with this acknowledgement we can really get some artistic and experimental sounds from Xtina in future English album releases.
In the meantime santo is still a bop and I’ve been streaming la fuerza practically everyday still.

I feel like her issue is the lack of consistency. She does promo for 2 days and then she disappears. On social media she doesn’t seem approachable either. The new generation like engagement and she doesn’t really do that at all like other artists. She obviously does not care. I learned a while back to just enjoy her music and pay no mind if it’s a hit or not. La fuerza is a solid EP and deserves better.
I agree. She definitely doesn't fit this new way to create and share with music. She needs to be OUT THERE all the time for songs to pick up. She's not even posting random photos on Instagram as she used to lol Plus, it's all about playlists and she's not in as many as other popular artists, so.Xtinoacer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 10:24 am I feel like her issue is the lack of consistency. So let's just enjoy whatever we get lol

People is here for Xtina, you can read the comments on Youtube and social media, the problem is the promo, nobody knows about this release. Just look at how Anitta is now top 5 on Spotify Global with an old song just because a tiktok trend. Promo is different this time, performances help the songs but the biggest platform right now is tik tok. And Xtina post nothing on tiktok.
Stop acting like Ozuna is Bad Bunny or Raw Alejandro, he's past his prime, just look how his new single is performing.
