Cases are levelling off & deaths are low. The BRITS were part of a scheme held by the UK government this year trialing no masks or social distancing. Not sure what the data reveals yet, but hopefully it’s positive. Restrictions are being lifted too. We’re allowed to meet with people indoors on Monday for the first time in months.

They did a bit of an experiment and invited only fully vaccinated front line workers to the audience.
Hopefully it proves that big indoor events can continue on once everyone has had the jab!

Also, I think it’s cool how Christina is one of the few popstars since Whitney than can interchange between event types. Christina is the only popstar on this list. Most of the other popstars don’t have the range to go and do a Jazz festival or complete concert with an orchestra.

I hope she sings Contigo en la Distancia, because that song is lovely with an orchestra.
And I hope she signs At Last too, she hasn't done it since Etta's funeral, has she?
Fuck, I hope she does a bunch of ballads and classics. She has a repertoire big enough to take advantage of a full orchestra.

So I guess in LA the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra does not have any overlap with the LA Phil. So that means this will probably be more of a Pops concert (jazz / swing / big band / scores) instead of a straight classical (operatic / symphonic) sound.
I fucking stan.
