I agree with this. But at the same time, I feel an artist needs to be living and breathing their record to have that big moment of huge critical acclaim. I don’t doubt her passion for the music but Christina hasn’t performed many of the songs, and probably never will. We know for sure she wasn’t campaigning much, if at all, for wins. I’m feel she’ll be delighted with one award and happy for the artists that won.

This is correct. Someone earlier asked why everything has to be so hard for Christy. But it's because the choices she makes -- to drop records and leave them out there with no promo, for example -- have exactly the intended result: she gets to lay low and enjoy her life. But the industry has to keep on going with or without her. I believe she has withdrawn into her private life and her shoddy inner circle because of past traumas, but I also hope she is starting to see that there is a place for her voice and that it's a different world now and she can come back out to play a bit. And if she does, I also believe she still has that big moment ahead of her.

I doubt she would’ve showed up regardless for Say Something. I think she wanted it to be AGBW’s moment. Summer Rain was also only 5 or so months old.
