Depending on how loud and how much the audience applauds, is what they award the artist. If the audience is loud enough the artist gets the first Gaviota de Plata which is the “silver seagull”. It used to start off with bronze then silver then gold. Now it starts off with silver, then gold, and the highest one is platinum.
Some artists have gotten booed and gotten shit. Mostly happens to new artists. Seasoned artists will always get the golden seagull. The platinum one is usually given to just one artist for the whole week of the festival hence why peeps are mad X didn’t get it even tho the audience went EXTRA wild for her to get it. Guess X didn’t feel like sending in the check.
Thanks for explaining. It seems too stressful...lol. I'd be afraid people would boo..or I was a big act not get big applause & be embarrassed at the publicity. oh...that explains Adam...lol.

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch the show in full yesterday. I loved it. She is out there putting on a very solid show these days. Her voice sounded great as well. It seemed like she made more of an effort with her enunciation and to sing the verses straight through (or was it just me? lol) She looked amazing and having the entire stadium sing back to her looked so magical. She seemed so happy. Great show.

She did great here, production was top-notch but I'm still in awe of Lovers n Friends. THAT'S the Xtina I love and wish she was all the time. I insist, Bionic, Vanity, LTBL.. that whole set is a stain in her shows. Wasted time on stage when she could be SANGIN her other material.
The key change in PMADT was STELLAR!
