I have to respectfully disagree. The budget on PM
and multiple features on pretty much all tracks (3 on PMM alone), tell me that she is looking for numbers. Yes, there's a element of artistry but I also think she wants to go big with this project(s).

I don't think it would be surprising that she would release another single soon. The fact that there's been pretty much no promo for PMM this past week tells me they've decided (or pre-planned) PMM is a buzz single and she will be releasing something new soon. Just my two cents.

Without a doubt, everyone involved with Xtinas comeback (her management, label, writers and Xtina herself) want the project to be successful. I mean she's a pop singer, not an indie act.

But what kind of promo were you expecting? The song will most likely be performed at the Grammys and it's going to receive a nice boost. I am not sure if Christina can travel to South America just to perform one song (that features 3 other artists). I would say be patient, this is the beginning!

A good promo would be to announce a tour in Latin American countries but it's a bit early for that.

I think the social media strategy has been decent so far, much better than Christina's previous eras (Lotus and Liberation). They had sponsored ads for Xtina's hits (re-introducing her to the GP), created new Exitos playlists on Apple Music and Spotify and the Sony Music Latin social media accounts were promoting her catalogue before the release of PMM. What else should they do?

A performance on Ellen (for example) wouldn't make any sense as the target audience is not the average American..

The song and video are doing great! A buzz for Xtinas return was definitely created. An instant smash is not the goal but a song/project with legs and that’s what we’re getting.

It’s really good that she’s getting more than 1 million views per day on YouTube. She will probably have 100 million views by the end of the year.

She also had the 9th biggest debut on Spotify release week. I think there’s undercover trolls here trying to downplay her success but considering her career is going into a 4th decade, the fact that she headlined Viva Latino on Spotify shows how much her name means in Latin America.
