The whole thing is a big misunderstanding. In the clip Britney posted, you can see a woman in a mask walking back towards them. She had already indicated that they had to go inside (I heard Christina was doing the countdown to the start but I don't know if that's true). The publicist then loudly says they have to go inside (right before the Britney question is asked) and touches Christina's arm to get her attention (you can see it in clips with different camera angles on Twitter). That's when she looks back and it unfortunately coincides with the reporter asking about Britney. Meanwhile, the masked woman starts heading inside, turns around and realises Christina and her team aren't following, and hurries back to get them cos they're on a tight schedule. When Christina said "I can't...", she literally didn't have time to say anything other than "I'm happy for her"

Xtina and Fighters can never win....this is going to be such a negative PR news cycle for Christina because everyone feels sorry for Britney over the conservatorship thing and (rightly) perceives her as a victim, so they'll automatically assume Britney's telling the truth. The reality of the situation won't matter.

If Britney ever admits she was wrong about Xtina not supporting her, the story of her admitting she was wrong will be read be literally 5% of the people who saw the original "Britney slams Xtina" story. So the damage has already been done.
