Because YouTube tracks where the people watching it originate. Also free streaming services only offer a fraction of the sales that paid ones do so YouTube is not offering much.Sirius69 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 5:57 amFranzjoseph wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 5:13 pmAll those streams aren't for America, not even close. Argentina and Spain contributed a lot to its streaming numbers.Sirius69 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 4:28 pm The song is qualified for gold already. 30,000 is gold in America for Spanish songs and just with YouTube and spotify she's at about 25,000 sold if you do the 1,500 = one sale so if the songs has sold at least 5,000 in America on iTunes it should qualify for gold already.
So what about YouTube? How do they know how many streams came from America?

The song reached the top 10's and top 20's of different Latin country's charts. It can be considered a hit. Definitely not a smash hit, but a moderate one, and it's still doing relatively good on these charts and airplays. It was a great introducing single for the era, and Christina is obviously saving the best for the right moment.

Exactly! And the radios are definitely doing the most, which is a good sign. All of that with zero promotion, other than the Latin Grammys.Christian wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 9:00 pm22 years into her careergenie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 5:30 pmThe song reached the top 10's and top 20's of different Latin country's charts. Gonna pass Ateo by C Tanaga and Nathy Peluso tomorrow on Tropical Latin, crazy this is having more longevity than that song.

Havana or I Like It were predominantly english friend, you need to compare it to fully spanish songs at least if you want to make delusional comparisons.love&music wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 4:05 pm The song needs more radio support! It has all to be bigger than HAVANA or I LIKE IT! Tina can do more stories with it, but the song as a moderate hit it already is has the potential to be huge.

You should make a new thread with that so people can easily access the Twitter link and vote. PMM is almost winning now.Angelopoulopoulous wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 4:04 am Vote for PMM. It is good that they still include the song on those polls
