it truly is quite similar but I rather think that comes from the general sounds and usage of stylings of the genre rather than conscious similarities of La Reina.

It makes me wonder if she's really playing the long game. Letting the songs settle and sort of grow naturally.
In Latin charts, songs can sit there for months or even years. Some artists launch several singles long before the actual albums. So when they release an album, it's instantly popular and they can start collecting awards.
Given that Christina seems to be in no rush to promote this, I wonder if she's planning to leave that for the later stages of the process, once she's ready to launch the full album.
