No shade aside but it really shows that Jayz has a big power in this ! Same thing what he does for Beyonce when he gets her those random nominations ( Let us not forget when beyonce matched her thank you note color with her dress , and when she won on traditional album categories and was nominated for Halo live) so am glad Xtina can get some recognition at the grammys because she actually deserves this !

I know she was a random citi concert coming up but she’s got two months to do the rounds, promote, and do a proper industry awards campaign. She can do it all in one day from her backyard pagoda for all I care. The Spanish speaking industry is showing her love and she’s got to return the goodwill, even if she only gets a couple of Grammys it still opens the door for more recognition in the future. I hope her team takes this opportunity in stride.

In this one, the competition is weak. And I think if Fonseca and Sin Banderas can get nominated in this category, she definitely can get the nomination as well with Aguilera and also a good probability of winning.

The best is yet to come 
It is actually more than double any previous year. The most nominations she's gotten for a singular ceremony was in 2003 for Pop Vocal Album ("Stripped"), Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Beautiful") & Pop Collaboriation w/ Vocals ("Can't Hold Us Down"). "Beautiful" was nominated that year for Song of the Year, but she does not get credit for that officially.
This is still all so wild. So well deserved. And good on her team for the proper submissions and pushing for her.

It was pretty clear to me she has some strong connections in the Spanish music community. Her collabs, her writers, she seemed like bffs with the head of Sony Latin. The amount of music videos despite the lukewarm success, the prime slot on the last Latin Grammys and I bet had she wanted to perform anywhere she could of but knowing Christina she was like "Latin Grammys is enough"

I think people forget that she’s very well respected in the Latin community. She worked with the top respected writers and producers in the game and they all said nothing but nice things about her. I hope that with these nominations, she can turn La Luz into a full length album (we know she recorded tons of material and possibly might record more when she’s back in Miami) and score nominations again next year!
